Jin Bar, Mandarin Oriental

The renovation project intended to introduce a new “anchoring bar” function into a traditional buffet-style all-day dining space. Originally service station, this new “bar” function is becoming a focal point of the entire restaurant; within this 30 sq.m. glass architectural structure adjacent to the main entrance, designers successfully established a harmonious connection between interior space and exterior environment while sustaining the elegance of the interior space.

The main protagonist of the space is the central sculptural bar delivers a grand expression of ebony; together with the floating ceiling art piece, suspended on the bar, adds drama to the space and creates a sophisticated and intriguing atmosphere.
